چکیده
Hydraulic fracture networks, especially geometry, height growth, and proppant transport within the present a critical influence on productivity evaluation optimization of fracturing parameters. However, information about hydraulic networks in post-fractured formations is seldom available. In this study, characteristics (density orientation) fractures were obtained from field observations cores taken conglomerate test site (CHFTS). A large number observed cores, systematic description was carried out. The analysis data includes density, depth, orientation, morphology, surface features, apertures, fill, mechanical origin (type), etc. Our results show that 228 intersected span 293.71 m slant core composed irregularly spaced single swarms. One potential sources swarms near-wellbore tortuosity. Moreover, for regions far away wellbore, reservoir heterogeneity can promote complex trajectories. mainly cross-gravel high-angle align with maximum horizontal stress (SHmax) ± 15°. orientations, types provided valuable regarding growth behavior. For area transverse distance less than 25 hydraulically-fractured tensile dominant. While shear provide improved understanding spatial dimensions, distribution, mechanism formation. dataset acquired also be used to calibrate numerical models characterize geometry distribution.

Hydraulic Fracturing and Seismicity in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin
The development of most unconventional oil and gas resources relies upon subsurface injection of very large volumes of fluids, which can induce earthquakes by activating slip on a nearby fault. During the last 5 years, accelerated oilfield fluid injection has led to a sharp increase in the rate of earthquakes in some parts of North America. In the central United States, most induced seismicity ...
متن کاملHydraulic Fracturing Simulation for Fracture Networks
The term ‘Unconventional Reservoirs’ is used in the oil and gas industry for hydrocarbon reservoirs that have very low permeability in the magnitude of microdarcy (μd) and therefore rely on artificially introducing pathways for fluids and gases, commonly by using hydraulic fracturing techniques, to enable economic production. This approach of using fracturing stimulation campaigns is also incre...

Hydraulic fracturing is a method of oil and gas extraction from shale in which substantial volumes of water return to the surface containing chemicals and microorganisms. This paper begins to address the microbial composition and aqueous chemistry and the potential for intrinsic and enhanced bioremediation of these waters. The waters from a gas and oil shale in the Marcellus and Bakken regions,...
متن کاملComplex Fluids and Hydraulic Fracturing.
Nearly 70 years old, hydraulic fracturing is a core technique for stimulating hydrocarbon production in a majority of oil and gas reservoirs. Complex fluids are implemented in nearly every step of the fracturing process, most significantly to generate and sustain fractures and transport and distribute proppant particles during and following fluid injection. An extremely wide range of complex fl...
